TradeCentre 2013: Canucks acquire Roy from Dallas; Jagr to Boston

TRADECENTRE 2013: The Vancouver Canucks might have wanted former Dallas Star F Derek Roy before last nights game, but this is an excellent trade for Vancouver, going into the playoffs.

Dallas is giving everyone away today.

The Stars also traded star forward Jaromir Jagr to the Boston Bruins.

Yes, Jagr is older, and is becoming a free agent this summer, but before he retires he must want to pull a Ray Lewis and win the Stanley Cup with Boston.

But I say Boston may have wanted Iginla more than Jagr. Maybe the Bruins wanted to show off to the Penguins that they have future hall of famer and former Penguin Jagr, but Iginla is still young and still has maybe around 130 goals still left in his career, and Jagr maybe has one more season until he retires because of his age.

But like Teemu Selanne, Jagr still has some gas left in him. Jagr has been leading the Stars since getting signed in July 2012.

Hope for more exciting trades to happen throughout the day and tomorrow.

THE TRADES:
Canucks Trade: D Kevin Connauton, 2013 2nd Round Pick
Stars Trade: F Derek Roy

Bruins Trade: F Lane MacDermid, F Cody Payne, Draft Pick
Stars Trade: F Jaromir Jagr

Lightning Trade: D Marc-Andre Bergeron
Hurricanes Trade: F Adam Hall, 2013 7th Round Pick
